Ashley is a natural-born chef, but it’s not the only string to his bow. He’s also a teacher who likes to share his knowledge and skills in the hope of encouraging others to flex their culinary muscles.
He throws open the doors of his state-of-the-art kitchen for numerous classes throughout the year, running the gamut from perfect bread-making and chocolate-tempering to successful seafood preparation and seasonal favourites like Easter egg-decorating and festive gingerbread house-building.
You can always join Ashley at many of the regional and national food festivals throughout the year where he regularly demonstrates using the finest local produce from his kitchen.
Be welcomed into the Sun’s kitchen and work alongside the chefs for a morning after coffee and danish. Turn your hand to making a selection of breads and with various finishes and presentations at the Bread Maker & Soup Class- Kneading, proving, cutting, moulding and glazing throughout the morning. As well as a good wholesome soup too.
Your mission for the ‘Magic of Meat Masterclass’ is to prepare a host of dishes using different cuts of meat, looking at different styles of preparation and techniques to produce a selection of meals
Or try the adventurous ‘Fish & Shellfish Workshop’ where gutting, scaling, filleting, portioning and preparing are on your job list for the day as you find your way around these sometimes slippery little beauties.
Our Chocolate Workshop gives a unique opportunity for dedicated chocoholics to get their hands dirty (in a completely delicious way) making a selection of goodies for their family and friends. Definitely the most popular class of the year!
He’s also available for charity cookery demonstrations, helping to raise much-needed money for local causes while sharing his years of kitchen experience.
So whether you want to raise money for your favourite charity or simply raise your own game in the kitchen, why not give us a call and we’ll give you exclusive access to one of Yorkshire’s most talented chefs.
